Bringing you back to your authentic Self

Matthew Anthon, MACP, RP (Qualifying)

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I have also worked as a Paramedic for the past 15 years. This has given me a great deal of life experience including going through my own mental health journey and challenges which continues to this day. I understand what it’s like to be suffering on the inside and that it can be hard to open up and be vulnerable. But, there is also an opportunity for deep healing and self-transformation in these moments. You are not alone on this journey. I am here to provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space to explore these difficulties and internal challenges.

Treatment Approach

I provide individual therapy to adolescents, teens, and adults who are struggling with a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, OCD, phobias, trauma, panic disorder, perfectionism, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) with a focus on first responders.

I am dedicated to help people heal, grow, and discover their own unique strengths and talents so that they can live a fulfilled meaningful life.

I will develop a customized treatment plan based on each individuals needs and goals using a variety of evidence based practices. These include; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Somatic Therapy (ST), meditation, and Exposure Therapy (ET).

Throughout life there can be various difficult/traumatic experiences that are imprinted into our mental, emotional, and physical bodies. Eventually these imbalances can cause disruption and disease both mentally and physically. But, when you are ready to feel, accept, and transmute these difficult emotional experiences true healing can take place. This is not easy, but with the right support system in place one can develop the necessary courage, strength, and resilience to let their true light shine and be the person they have always wanted to be.
